Jenny Garris grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and graduated from Forest Hills Central High School where her passion for acting began. While attending FHC she was in her first short film and numerous live theatre productions. Her love for creating a character did not stop there. She enrolled at Grand Rapids Community College on a theatre scholarship. While attending, Jenny played the lead actress in productions such as; "The Dining Room", "Life X Three", and "The Shadow Box" in which she received a 'Grand Award' nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a college production. After graduating from Grand Rapids Community College she attended Aquinas College where she played the lead of Hermia in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Nights' Dream". She graduated summa cum laude and received the 'Outstanding Communication Graduate Award.' Since graduation Jenny has played the lead in multiple independent films including Back Roads, a horror film shot in the LA area and The Maze, an interactive movie created by a Central Michigan University graduate student. You can also see Jenny's smiling face on local and statewide commercials and industrial films. Jenny was excited to portray the character of Wendy in To Live and Die in Dixie. Jenny has since moved out west to be closer to the film and television industry to pursue a career in acting and production.
