Born in Chicago, Illinois, Marcus Davis Hendricks got his start as a theatre freak in his sophomore year in highschool. His first role was that of a puppeteer for the Audrey II Plant in "Little Shop of Horrors". He went on to play several roles, and compete in Speech and Group Interpretation competitions until his senior year ended in 1998. After highschool, he briefly attended a local community college and joined their theatre company, but quickly transferred to Eastern Illinois University. While attending Eastern, he played such roles as Spartan in " Lysistrata" and Willie in " Master Harold and the boys", before graduating with a theatre arts degree in 2002. After college, his hunger to finally dive into films took over. He moved back to Chicago, joined an agency, and began to audition. He's worked as an extra, cinematic stuntman, and has filmed commercials for Culvers and Famous Footwear. This is his film debut as Bowie Selmon in " To Live an Die in Dixie"
