John Otterbacher resides in Chicago where he produced his first feature, the award winning RIFFRAFF (2008). While pursuing a career as an independent filmmaker, John is also teaching film production at Columbia College and working with a number of not for profit organizations such as Community TV Network, Harborquest, and Voices of the City.
Currently, John has a high definition feature, ABCs(working title), in production and a music video for the Detholz song "Behold the Man" finishing post production as well as a number of projects in
development.
To Live and Die in Dixie(2008) is John's 4th Summer Film Practicum with GVSU and his second as a staff member. He also worked on The Freezer Jesus(2002), Flickeriing Blue(2003), and A Moment of Grace (2004).
